Like a star that beams;

In the moonless night;

Let me live in my dreams;

Feeling  warmth and joy.

Even in my dreams;

I’m chased and stabbed;

People spat on me;

While I’m terribly smashed.

I’ve been thrown stones at;

By those who are soulless;

Will my life ever brighten;

Now I feel so helpless.

I’ve been moulded by sorrow;

And seasoned by time;

I’m a targeted soul;

On the stage of a mime.

I’m always “judged” ;

And too much “corrected”;

And always interrupted;

And very much corrupted.

Day and night, I think;

I dream and I seek;

As a wanderer, I dwell;

While the rest call me a “geek”.

I seek for joy;

And a little love;

From this heartless world;

Like a helpless dove.

“Please show some mercy”;

I cry and yell;

While they drown me deeper;

In a very dark well.

My dreams have been shattered;

Wrapped up in an ugly sheath;

While they throw me in anger;

I struggle to breathe.
