Another March 13th , Perhaps the ‘darkest ‘ day for CETly, in its whole history and in future. It was on this day, 2005, we lost our most beloved Binoy Sir. When I say this, at least some of you may have doubt how a single person’s loss could be so much for an organization. But it is a reality…. This person not a ordinary teacher…. He was the best. Best teacher, studious student, a great administrator, diplomat, brother, and above all a great man….
I was in my 1st year when we lost him. If I tell, there was not a single person in the college who did not shed tears on that day- it is just a simple fact. Actually we came to know that he’s no more only after 2 days of his demise- something that made us more sad. When I am writing this , sitting in my room, so many things are flashing through my mind, and , in this situation am unable put it in words.
“Every student felt that he/she is Binoy Sir’s favorite student” – This was his success as a teacher…
He knew every personal detail of each and every student and this made him close to the hearts of all…
Though a Mechanical Engineer, there was no subject in Engineering that he didn’t teach. Everything was there in his hands.
Classes were magnificent. Unfortunately, he taught me only a few months.. All virtues of CETly are indebted to him.
For the present students of CETly, he may be a unknown, but you must know him, because he shed his blood and sweat for CETly…
Felling short of words.. May his soul rest in peace..

I’m trembling here, First year memories came like a flash…
i was nt lucky enough to be his student…bt heard a lot from ma cousin n seniors…
coetly needs innovative teachers like him…
when the page of march takes it turn i think not about my farewell days of my college or school but only about the day which we lost our beloved Benoy sir.Even a single student of that time can forget that day. as niju says first year memories come like a flash…with all my friends… praying for his soul and his beloved ones…
Binoy Sir…He was simply great…
He was a man of great character, passion and dedication. He loved his students as his own siblings.
Sir, you will always live in our memories..Really miss you sir…
He was a man of ambitions, the first and the last hard-working soul that I met at CoET. I remember him sharing many of his dreams with us… ” Dedicated ” becomes a synonym for him. Student’s mind was his black board… All students feared him, but none could ever stay away from him. He was in all of us … words never end, description never wrap up.
The real Engineer, as he should be described was God’s beloved. May be the almighty wanted him there, early…
You live in us sir, we bid an adieu by hands, not by heart…

Still he is in my heart.Nobody can forgot those days.I am getting more tensed when seeing his face.He was a good teacher having his excellence in knowledge.May his soul rest in peace
I am always remembering him after seeing his Pen. He gave it not as a gift. One day I gave my pen , he didn’t return back and went Next day he came , gave a new Pen and told “I forgot to return your pen ,just take it”.
He is the right approach to students. For me his first advice was ” don’t believe the sentimental approach in Life”.
For all in all programs he is the only main Teacher who is taking care about students and helping as a Big Brother.
After the incident , we students are not getting as much help from teachers for programs and activities till Jais Sir reached.
Just after he passed away the college principal went on Leave, I remember.
He studied from Kannur engineering college. I heard that he usually gone to “parassinikadavu” for taking free Lunch.
I am remembering so many incidents related to him.
Heard about him from the day 1 i stepped into CETLY and was just wondering how a person can be so admired by each an everyone. When i met him,it was no longer a wonder. In fact,he is a person who deserve all kinds of respect. In just one word, a wonderful person. Even though i was not able to attend more than one or two classes of him,i feel very lucky.
Sir, u still live in our hearts.
yea… he was one of the initial pillar of Cetly. The man who built Cetly… So much close to each students. We were the first batch, and it was only Benoy Sir for us. we miss u sir….!
