If you want to blog in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil its pretty easy these days. Either you can use the transliteration facility inside your gmail or  you can go to http://www.google.com/transliterate/ and use it. But the problem with this method is that you need to be online for this. For offline users there is a wonderful thing from our very own Google itself…

Google Transliteration IME is currently available for 14 different languages -Arabic, Bengali, Farsi (Persian), Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

You can go to http://www.google.com/ime/transliteration/ and download the executable file of the language you like and install it.

You can use this to type anywhere you want

You can type in Manglish to get malayalm stuff. As you type you can see on screen suggestions which you can choose from also. You can check the Google IME Help
