Usage

As i started using this, it is likely similar to the previous Transcend hard drive i had. The first thing is to register the product via online for the 3 year warranty. As for now i had only USB 2.0 in my laptop, the transfer speed while transferring a file is 24MB/s using Tera copy, which is good! It also comes with a Elite software(Windows) which lets you to manage synchronization. The MRP of this external hard drive is 9K, but i got it online for 4K( that is very cheap for an awesome drive like this) So as to conclude, this is one stylish, secure and portable hard drive with a good reasonable price. For anyone who is looking for a high capacity portable hard drive, i would totally recommend this.

This will be like a small review.

1) The first thing i like is its design! elegant smart interface!. Its pretty neat and easy to use.

2) Introducing circles, which we will have more control over what we are sharing also lets you organize like friends, family.

3) The best feature i like: “Hangout” (To me, The most awesome feature!) Its more like a conference room where a group people can video chat. Who ever says loud will come to the bigger screen, so that every body listens it.

4) “Sparks” is just another feature that is based on your interests. It pulls out the links of the recent contents from the web based on the interest.

5) +1 button is there, and it shows all the +1 likes from the web in your profile.

6) Just like Google’s dropbox, Photos are uploaded so fast and it has the slide feature.

7) Yes, this is what some people like, you can update and your status and receive notifications by mobile.

8 ) You can edit the posts that is already posted by you.(seems interesting!)

Google profile, buzz and there are lots of other features. Also the whole system is has bugs, well is just launched and it is expected to have bugs.

So comparing to Facebook, I’ll give Google+ :8/10 rating.

Google+ will survive! Lets wait and see how it goes!

All of us who have read about history of the evolution of the great computer know the fact that these machines in the beginning were giant and monumental sculptures of iron doing just simple calculations. So is the case with the HARD DISK. Once it was too a gigantic piece of antique art. An average 55 MB HDD measured 8-10 times the size of a regular 3.5” HDD we see today. The 1985 version of HDD was made entirely to fit your needs and not your desktop cabinet. Every level of storage added another level of recording disk which meant more space and money. The images given here compare an HP 7945A model of a 55 MB hard disk that was modeled in 1985 and cost around $7500.

First of all let me say that i’m an average student (and sometimes even below average) and my classmates know how good i am at studies . I never considered that getting high marks is something great, i believed nothing lies in marks … But i missed the oppurtunity to attend the best placement drive at my college, “Infosys” , just because of my marks (even if i attended it, nothing is gonna happen, still i couldn’t participate(participation matters!)).

Next one was the placement drive of another good company “ibs” . I missed that too (same reason: Marks! ). But i was so happy since two of my friends got placed in “ibs” ( @Varun, one is you).

Inbetween i got a chance to attend a placement drive at Sree Narayana Engineering college,Payyanur. I went there along with Nistul. We wrote the test together, discussing each question . But when result came, both were out . Then we returned back. But i must say that, I really enjoyed the trip .

That was the first test i attended. Next was the “Accenture” placement drive at Thrissur Engineering college (Had a nice stay at Varun’s house). Their PPT(Pre Placement Talk) was superb! At that moment i really became a fan of Accenture and wanted to be a part of Accenture. That Accenture fellow kept on telling “Accenture is not for everyone and Everyone is not for Accenture”. Test was easy but couldn’t clear it. But one of my “ibs” friend got placed in Accenture at the end of the day .

Thus attending placement drives became my hobby. Whenever i heard of a placement drive (not the BPO ones ) i used to go for it, fail in aptitude test and come back. The thing is that such trips were really wonderful and sometimes i even forgot the fact that i was going to attend a Company’s test for a job! I used to go for all these even without preparing (Sorry Hariyetta ). I used to laugh at people when i see them reading R. S. Agarwal’s “Quantitative Aptitude” or “Verbal & Non-verbal Reasoning” . I used to make fun of them.

Next one was the “suntec” test at Rajagiri Campus. Wow! What a campus! For a moment i thought, if i was studying here…. I was really jealous of the students there. I had to meet the placement officer there, so i went to their placement cell. It was A/C . Every where A/C . I couldn’t see a single A/C in my college . There was around 32 students from my college. Actually i never heard of such a company (company has a total of 450 employes only). Also i was not at all impressed with their PPT (Sorry NK). As usual,  the test was very easy but couldn’t clear the test. Three students from our college got placed in Suntec, including my friend Nidhin NK.

By this time, i almost made up my mind that i won’t clear such tests . I won’t get into any IT firm if this is the case. My belief became stronger when i heard a dialog from eby sir “More than 80% of Btech students are not fit for the Industry! ” (Padachone! ), “ and those who haven’t cleared the tests till now must realise the fact that you people won’t get placed unless you change your attitude and work more towards it.” These words really touched me! I started realising the fact that i was one among those 80%.
