CodeJam is for you if you have a passion to write beautiful code – a desire to find an elegant solution in the most expressive lines of code as possible. We believe that code is poetry. Our engineering team comes from the same background that you are – not exactly the topper in university exams but maybe with a few back papers, a few below 35 sectionals, but certainly with the exciting ability to write code that rocks!

We are conducting CodeJam in the search for some of those talented coders/hackers with an engineering bend of mind to work with us in solving complex engineering tasks and work on the cutting edge technology in the fast growing telecommunication sector.

Rules and Regulations

1. Open to students across Kerala in their final year of graduation. (Students graduating in 2011 / 2012)
2. The candidate can code in C / PHP / Python / Ruby / Clojure^*.
3. The code has to be emailed to codejam@mobme.in.
4. Stipulated time limit: 1 Day.
5. Notified winners need to produce appropriate college proof.
6. All correspondence post notification to be done withHR@mobme.in.

Prizes

1. Three winners will be identified each contest day. The best submission among these will win Rs 1,000.
2. There will be a grand finale at our Cochin office, on the culmination day, for the daily winners where they code in a live environment. This has a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000.
3. Selected candidates get an offer to work at MobME

i got much excited and read it with great curiosity … and as there were not much hard restrictions or instructions to follow .. i decided to go on! …

just as i completed the post … i was having the title of the film … ” story of a shoe ” …

i dont know how or why it came to my mind … it just CAME!

started to think more on it and i made this idea reach nishad and ameen ,my classmates…

of course and obvious that i got great response and enthusiasm as i expected from them!!.. after a long chat with Ameen on the phone … i was struck by the harder side … that we got only 5 days to complete the film …

the last date being 13th of september … we had to rush!

waited for the exams to end …

but the next day after the series exam was a hartal! …hence no college … no work in progress!

but with no less hope … we had our first shot on wednesday (8th sept.) …

9 am : we took our first step by designing the smiley for the shoes … thanks to Nishad Aiswarya and Greeshma …

that afternoon  itself we got the lecture,exam,tank,bathroom and the ‘chali’ scene…

next day… got the college entering,class entering and the step scenes

…friday : got the canteen and finally the bubble gum scene ..!

With only two days left …!!

and i was still searching for the lecture class sound (professor’s voice) …

and for my luck.. i met the perfect guy !! Muneer….

called him and explained what was in my mind …

in just 10 minutes i got a mail from him … ‘bingo …!! i got the professor’s voice!! ‘ nice one … really thankful to you dear …

then again

was in need of some songs and sounds(ringing bell) …

in no time Nishad solved it all .. !! yippee …

now just my work was left …

on saturday night … edited and arranged it till 3 45 am …

next day had to get the ‘evening at home’ scene … Nishad came home to help me out … !

got that scene too !!… again started working on the editing by evening…

completed by 4 am !! …

havooooo ….!! wat a relief !! …

next day was the last date for submission…

so went to college …

but then came to know that the last date has been changed to 20th sept. !

then just waited for 1 week …  and submitted !

A shortfilm competition is being conducted as a part of CSIT Association Day which will be held on 3^rd week of September 2010.  All students can participate and there will be no registration fee for the competition. Best shortfilm will be rewarded with a cash prize worth not less than Rs.1000/- and will be shown on CiTS day.

GUIDELINES FOR SHORTFILM COMPETITION

1)      Maximum allowed team size – 10 students.

2)      Maximum time duration for the shortfilm – 10 minutes.

3)      Topic for the shortfilm – Anything can be chosen by the team.

4)      Camera to be used – There is no constraints. (eg: mobile cam to professional cam.)

5)      If the number of entries is more, an initial filtering will be done.

6)      Evaluation will be strictly based on a Jury.

7)      Last date for submission – 13^th September 2010, 3.00 PM

8)      The decision of the Jury shall be final.

Other winners will receive scholarships for studying “Applied Economics” course at the Hedge School of Applied Economics.
