Last night(30th June 2011) i finally got the invitation for Google+. Thanks to Midhun. After spending a lot of time trying out its features, I thought to write about it and most of all Google+ is the currently trending topic.

This will be like a small review.

1) The first thing i like is its design! elegant smart interface!. Its pretty neat and easy to use.

2) Introducing circles, which we will have more control over what we are sharing also lets you organize like friends, family.

3) The best feature i like: “Hangout” (To me, The most awesome feature!) Its more like a conference room where a group people can video chat. Who ever says loud will come to the bigger screen, so that every body listens it.

4) “Sparks” is just another feature that is based on your interests. It pulls out the links of the recent contents from the web based on the interest.

5) +1 button is there, and it shows all the +1 likes from the web in your profile.

6) Just like Google’s dropbox, Photos are uploaded so fast and it has the slide feature.

7) Yes, this is what some people like, you can update and your status and receive notifications by mobile.

8 ) You can edit the posts that is already posted by you.(seems interesting!)

Google profile, buzz and there are lots of other features. Also the whole system is has bugs, well is just launched and it is expected to have bugs.

So comparing to Facebook, I’ll give Google+ :8/10 rating.

Google+ will survive! Lets wait and see how it goes!

P.S: by the time i am posting here Google opened up sign in for the Google+. No more invitations now, try it now. Go here.

All of us who have read about history of the evolution of the great computer know the fact that these machines in the beginning were giant and monumental sculptures of iron doing just simple calculations. So is the case with the HARD DISK. Once it was too a gigantic piece of antique art. An average 55 MB HDD measured 8-10 times the size of a regular 3.5” HDD we see today. The 1985 version of HDD was made entirely to fit your needs and not your desktop cabinet. Every level of storage added another level of recording disk which meant more space and money. The images given here compare an HP 7945A model of a 55 MB hard disk that was modeled in 1985 and cost around $7500.

This is what it’s top of the interface board looked like.

The leftmost part is the massive power supply unit.

Actual comparison of a 3.5” HDD we see today and the great 55 MB HDD of 1985.

Content Security Policy (CSP)- Prevents cross-scripting attacks by allowing sites to explicitly tell the browser which content is legitimate.

JavaScript engine upgrade – Incorporates the new JägerMonkey JIT compiler, along with enhancements to the existing TraceMonkey JIT and SpiderMonkey’s interpreter for faster page-load speed and better performance of Web apps and games.

To which extend you use your mobile phones?
Like all of you know, a good java enabled multimedia phone is a perfect companion for day to day life.

Messaging, gprs, music, video etc but do you know that your java enabled set will be able to do almost all the functions which a personal computer can do.

Yeah limitations are there for those functions but it gets the job done on most of the cases.
I just thought to put it all together n share it with you people…

Key towards those functions are a set of java applications by various manufacturers.
For taking you online, a number of mobile browsers are available. Opera Mini, UCWEB, Bitstream Bolt etc etc. I recommend Opera Mini for browsing and UCWEB for downloading files. You’ll know why I said so after using them. Both are so convenient. UCWEB is really fast n the dedicated in built downloader enables us to pause the download and finish it at a later stage.

For going through your files in memory card, and going through memory card in your friend’s device via bluetooth, file zipping, unzipping and other functions Blue FTP by Medieval is the best.
A lot of demo and adware versions are avialable of the software in mobile application sites like Getjar, Mobile9 etc.

For reading pdf documents also there is a way, if you just search those sites i’ve mentioned above, you can get a large amount of pdf readers like Adobe Reader, Mobile Pdf etc etc.

You can even chat with your friends in Yahoo Messenger, GTalk and facebook messenger with the help of applications like sHmessenger, GoTalkMobile, eBuddy etc.

For downloading all videos found in youtube, metacafe etc, you can check out the site vuclip.com but nowadays most service providers are charging for the download from vuclip.
No need to get disappointed, youtube videos can be viewed directly…
Mostly Youtube’s Application will be provided in high end phones and all. If not just log in to m.youtube.com from the default browser of your phone and enjoy!
If you explore, you can find millions of other ways of doing some work you usually do only in pc in your mobile phone…
I’m not familiar with those completely so just mentioned about the few I use…
Its always convenient to carry your mobile phone always, it can be your personal manager in daily life and also a great help.
If it had life, it’ll undoubtedly be your best friend who knows you pretty well and keeps your life moving.

Nokia and Intel tied their hands together in MeeGo, MeeGo is a Linux-based open software platform hosted by the Linux Foundation.
