“Tomorrows computers may not have more than tonnes” once a computer expert said.
Surprised???
This won’t be exclamatory if you think of ENIAC, na?
As the technology advanced, there is a dramatic change in the size of the computers and accessories. The change from huge ENIAC to handheld palmtops had said this.
The exhibition that held on College of Engineering Thalassery on behalf of SAAGA art and tech fest revealed a lot more about the dramatic improvisation that happened in computer hardware sector. That’s why they called the hardware expo as Hardware Aumento (Aumento means improvisation in Spanish)
In earlier days all the components needed for a computer hardware was readily used itself; and now a days , there are lot more advancement to integrate up to millions of transistors in to single chip. As a result the size of computers and accessories decreased dramatically.
In the exhibition, they students gave a comparative study of old age hardware and new types. It extended from old tower type CPU and Hard disk drive to new palmtops and i-pads.
