Tata tied with a Japanese company called Docomo to put a revolution in telecom services; they put forward the first move to give one second pulse in India. Now they entered the 3G services on this Diwali 5th November 2010. Tata Docomo launched 3G services in India including nine circles of Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh (including Chhatisgarh), Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP (West), Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra. Not only does 3G deliver faster, it serves richer content straight to you mobile phones, like Real-time video conferencing, Live TV, HD Gaming, Streaming & downloading, Videos, Sharing Photos & Videos, Instant email & attachment downloads and Faxing.

Free usage for one week is offered as the launching offer to these circles. Tata Docomo becomes second to provide 3G spectrum in Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP, Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra. BSNL and MTNL had already launched their 3G services a year before, Tata Docomo is the first private firm to give 3G services in India.

The President and CEO of NTT Docomo Ryuji Yamada said “After nearly a decade of success in providing 3G service in Japan, we are delighted to have lent our technical and business knowhow to TTSL, our strategic global partner. Going forward, NTT Docomo will continue to leverage its mobile expertise and value-added services in markets worldwide through collaboration with partners such as TTSL.”
