When it comes to ‘ban on mobile phones’ , definitely there will have many opinions. Because the influence of this small ( yet cute n powerful ) device in our life is much greater. Here are some thoughts on ban on mobile phones.
Ban on mobile in campus
As being a college student, let me put this first. The ban of mobile phones in campus became much controversial topic recently. There are strict rules that prohibiting the use of mobiles ( especially high end camera phones ). There must have two opinions regarding this. One thing is on the misuse; Yes misuse is always there. There are many events that even leads to the death of some students.
Let me share another view. In many campus there is no ban on ordinary phones without camera facility, unless you are not using during class times ( Be careful , You will lose it if so). And ofcourse there is no ban on digital cameras. Then what’s the problem with camera phones? Also you can bring your laptop in classroom ( with a webcam in most cases , and probably a spy-cam). isn’t it foolishness to ban that simple device only ?
when mobile is a burden
You may not forget the incident that leads to the death of some students based on the misuse of camera phone. Can anyone blame the Universities that ban mobile phones?. Because it’s on the care and security of our sisters.
Ofcourse it’s a burden for many one!
When mobile is a rescue
Let me share some interesting and most unknown facts about mobile phones.
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other ‘remote’ for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Hope these tips are helpful! It’s from one of my friend’s blog.
Is it should be banned ?
When it comes to ban on mobile, I would like to say “Everything has two sides”. Personally I believe that the advances in technology is for human development, if used properly.
Effective use and misuse is solely our own responsibility. You may share your opinion in the comment section.
